Baby Kick Counter

A movement diary, not a wellbeing test

Note movements you feel during a session to help you describe your baby’s pattern.

If movements are less than usual, stop, or change from your baby’s usual pattern, contact your midwife or maternity unit immediately. Do not wait for this counter or the next day.

What this can tell you

  • Record timestamps of movements you notice and the session length.

What it cannot tell you

There is no target number and no pass or fail. A count cannot show that your baby is well. Home heart-rate monitors (Dopplers) are not a substitute for being checked.

How this is calculated

Elapsed time = session end − start, recalculated from stored times (not from a ticking counter). Each tap stores a timestamp; Undo removes the last one.
